We are sure you will never like the vision loss or the complete blindness for your eyes, but your eyes might be loosing the sight slowly without getting you to know because of your bad habits of eating. So before you loose your complete vision avoid bad habits of eating.

To see the world with a good view, its very essential to eat well. what to eat or what not to eat for your eyes mainly depends on the causes of vision loss or the blindness. For example type 2 diabetes is the leading cause of blindness.

Our lifestyle and diet affects our eyes a lot or you can say that the health of our eyes totally depends on our diet and lifestyle.

Any food that is harmful to our heart and vessels is also harmful to our eyes because tissues of the eye is irrigated by a multitude of micro-blood vessels and this is the case of diabetes type 2, high cholesterol, overweight, high blood pressure etc.

So here are some food gradients that should be taken in a good volume for the best of your eyes.

  • Vitamin A - Vitamin A can be found in several forms and food items and is an essential component for vision growth and maintenance. One of the form of Vitamin A is know as retinol, retinol becomes more important for the night vision, the deficiency of retinol may cause impaired night vision and dry eye syndrome (xerophthalmia). Thing to remember here is that Vitamin A is good for Eyes but its excessive amount is toxic for your liver.

  • Antioxidantsthese are the substances which protect eyes from free radicals. free radicals are the harmful molecules produced during the chemical reactions inside the human body and are the main causes of cataract and Age-Related Eye Diseases. Antioxidant substances includes Vitamin A, B, C, beta-carotene, selenium, lycopene and lutein and can be found in fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, some meats, poultry and fish.

  • Omega - 3 - It is one of the fatty acids which is essential for our body and the fact is that our body can not make it, we have to get it from the food we eat. The presence of omega 3 enable us to fight against the eye disease such as Glaucoma and macular degeneration. A clinical study has also proved that. Omega 3 can be found in fish, other seafood including algae and krill, some plants, and nut oils.

So the above points concludes that a healthy diet is a must for the healthy eyes and in general we should increase the intake of fruits and vegetables for Vitamin A and antioxidants and fatty fish for omega 3 instead of meat, sausages and butter like saturated fats.
